AOD 9604 10mg
AOD 9604 is a synthetic peptide fragment corresponding to amino acids 176–191 of human growth hormone (hGH), with an additional tyrosine residue at the N-terminus. It was developed to isolate the lipolytic properties of hGH without the growth-promoting or insulin-desensitising effects associated with full-length growth hormone.
Research Applications
- Lipolysis and fat oxidation pathway research
- Adipogenesis inhibition in cellular models
- Metabolic regulation and body composition research
- Cartilage and bone repair in preclinical models
- Obesity and insulin sensitivity research models
Mechanism of Action
AOD 9604 mimics the lipolytic region of hGH and stimulates lipolysis by activating beta-3 adrenergic receptors in adipose tissue. Research models suggest it inhibits lipogenesis and promotes fat oxidation without affecting IGF-1 levels or producing hyperglycaemic effects observed with full-length hGH administration.
